Man Utd just announced the biggest shirt sponsor deal in UK, 56.6m pounds for 4 years, with the US insurer company AIG. This deal will take a load off Man Utd's financial pressures, for the moment...I am not exactly enamoured that the Glazers burdened Man Utd with so much debt but hopefully this will be a positive step in the right direction for the club.
One thing though... they need to work on the size of the AIG logo... i think its a little too big, don't you think?
On another note, Man Utd is poised to set another record by hosting the largest spectator turnout for a football club in UK, expected to be above 70,000, for this weekend's match with Arsenal.
Oh yeah, another thing... Kevin Nolan for Man Utd, anyone?
